Biman cuts hajj fight fare by Tk 10,000

The government has decided to reduce the fare of Biman Bangladesh Airlines by Tk 10,191 from the existing fare of Tk 1,38,191 for hajj pilgrims from the next hajj season.

State Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism Md Mahbub Ali said this while briefing journalists at his secretariat office in the capital on Thursday.

“The airfare of Biman was Tk 1,38,191 during last year’s hajj which will now be  Tk 1,28,000. Biman is committed to serving the hajj pilgrims”, the minister said.

He said that they have already talked to all stakeholders about mitigation of sufferings of hajj pilgrims.

State Minister for Religious Affairs Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah was present at the briefing.

“We are working to ease hajj procedures and reduce sufferings of hajj pilgrims from the next hajj season,” said Sheikh Abdullah.

He thanked the civil aviation ministry for reducing the airfare of Biman for pilgrims from the next hajj season.
