16 ‘fraudsters’ held in city

Members of Criminal Investigation Department (CID) arrested 16 ‘fraudsters’ on Wednesday for their ‘implication’ in deceiving people in the name of providing jobs abroad.

Syeda Jannat Ara, special superintendent of police, said three fraudsters, who introduced themselves as customs officers, were held during a raid on Bailey Road area in the capital.

In another swoop, the rest was nabbed from Natun Bazar area in Baridhara.
