From the length of grass to the accuracy of goal-line technology, a number of excuses have been made for Liverpool’s defeats of late, but Jurgen Klopp’s latest claim after defeat to Wolves is one of the most bizarre to date.

Klopp believes the actual wind played a part in Liverpool’s 2-1 loss in the FA Cup third round.
“We had a few players ill after City game. We had to make late changes so it doesn’t help. The wind didn’t help, players struggled to control ball” Klopp said.
