Oishi renders Nazrul Sangeet first time

Channel i Shera Kontho 2017 champion Rakiba Islam Oishi is as devoted to her singing as to her study. A student of Theoretical Music at Jagannath University, the young singer has recently rendered her voice to a Nazrul song ‘Amar Noyone Noyon Rakhi’.

The song has just been recorded, Oishi confirmed. Bashudev Ghosh re-arranged the instrumentation of the song. Though the audiences have enjoyed Nazrul songs in Oishi’s voice earlier at different TV shows or other programmes, this is the first time she will present a Nazrul song to the listeners.

Regarding the song, Oishi said, “I love the songs of our National poet Kazi Nazrul Islam, but this particular song has deeply touched my heart. This is why I have picked up the song (‘Amar Noyone Noyon Rakhi’) to give my voice to.  I have tried to sing the song with passion and love.”

“Bashudev dada has helped me a lot in my work. So I express my gratitude to him. I request all to wait for a while as we are going to release the song in the beginning of the New Year (2019),” she added.  A few days ago, Oishi sang ‘Nil Akashe Boshe’, a song written by Sohel Arman, for his play titled ‘Hridoy Ache Jar’.

However, the talented girl is in no hurry to release her music albums. Instead, she would live to focus on her learning at this moment. “I hope to become a genuine singer in future, even if takes a few years,” Oishi said.
