Chairman of Bangladesh National Alliance (BNA), a platform of 31 political parties, Nazmul Huda has demanded for 50 constituency seats to participate in the upcoming national polls.

“I ask chief of 14-party alliance and Awami League president Sheikh Hasina to give 50 seats for upcoming general elections,” he said.

Huda, former BNP leader and incumbent Trinamul BNP chairman, made the demand at an emergency special meeting in the capital on Monday.

The emergency meeting was held to participate in the upcoming national election and joining in the Awami League-led 14-party alliance, says a press release.

BNA organising secretary Akkas Ali Khan conducted the meeting, while BNA co-chairman M Nazimuddin Al Azad and BNA secretary general Sheikh Habibur Rahman, were present, among others.
