BGB-BSF border confce begins today in India

A six-day director general (DG)-level border conference between Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) and Border Security Force (BSF) of India begins today in New Delhi, India.

The conference will kick off at the BSF Camp Chhawla in New Delhi at 4:00 pm.

BGB DG Maj Gen Md Shafeenul Islam is leading a 14-member delegation while BSF DG Shri K K Sharma Islam is heading up a 20-member team.

The Bangladesh team comprises senior officials of BGB and representatives from Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), home ministry and foreign affairs ministry.

Besides, a seven-member delegation of Simanto Paribar Kalyan Samity (SPKS) of BGB will visit different activities of BSF Wives Welfare Association (BWWA).

A friendly basketball match between BGB and BSF will be held in New Delhi September 6.

A joint record of discussions of the DG-level talks would be signed on September 7.

The Bangladesh delegation will return home on September 8.
