Every student should plant at least a tree: Maya

CHANDPUR: Disaster Management and Relief Minister Mofazzal Hossain Chowdhury Maya, Bir Bikram, MP said on Saturday each student will have to plant a fruit tree imbued with the spirit of their social responsibilities so that the country can use every inch of the land to produce fruits and crops, reports BSS.

“Our country can use it’s every inch of land to produce fruits and crops if each student will plant a fruit tree as part of their social responsibilities,” he said as the chief guest while addressing the inaugural session of the ‘ten- day fruit and tree fair’ at North and South Matlab upazilas of the district .

“Bangladesh is now witnessing massive development in every sector of the country. People has started to reap the benefit from the development,” he said adding, therefore, the people of this country should elect Bangladesh Awami League (AL) again in the upcoming election for continuing the pace of development initiated by the government led by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

Chandpur District Council Chairman Haji Osman Patwari, Matlab North Upazila Parishad Chairman Manjur Ahmed Manju and Matlab South Upazila Parishad Chairman Sirajul Mostafa Talukder, among others, were present on the occasion.
