The foreign ministry will arrange a visit for the interested Heads of Delegations and International Organisations in Dhaka to the makeshift camps in Cox’s Bazar sheltering Rohingyas from Myanmar, said Foreign Minister AH Mahmood Ali on Thursday.

The minister was addressing a conference for the Heads of all Diplomatic Missions and International Organisations at state guest house Padma in the city.

The briefing was arranged to apprise the diplomats of the preparation taken for the two-day meeting of 45th OIC Council of Foreign Ministers beginning in the capital on May 5.

The theme of the CFM meeting is “Islamic Values for Sustainable Peace, Solidarity and Development”.

The Foreign Minister apprised them of the issues to be discussed at the conference which include the issue of Palestine, challenges facing the Muslim ummah and instability of the Muslim world.

Issues of persistent poverty, socio-economic backwardness of Muslim societies and protection of their rights and fundamental freedoms will also get priority.
