Afif wants to give his best for national team

Teenage all-rounder of Bangladesh Afif Hossain stated that he will try to give his best with national team jersey if he gets a place in the playing eleven in the T20I series between hosts Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.

The first T20 of the two-match series will take place on February 15 in Dhaka.

National selectors have added him to the 15-member squad for the first T20 against the Lankans considering his recent performance.

The young all-rounder is happy to get the chance to represent the country with the national team jersey. He said: “If I get a place in the top 11 of the match, I will try to give my best afford in the game against Sri Lanka.”

Earlier this month, youngster Afif has been named in the list of emerging players of ICC Under-19 World Cup 2018. The 18-year-old all-rounder is also the youngest player to take a five-wicket haul for Rajshahi Kings in the BPL T20 tournament.

“I am very much excited to get a call from the national team,” he added.
