BCL leaders for mitigating sufferings of cold-hit people

RANGPUR: Leaders of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) at a blanket distribution ceremony on Wednesday called upon all affluent people and youth community to stand beside the cold-stricken people for mitigating their sufferings, reports BSS.

The district unit of BCL organised the ceremony for distributing blankets among more than 300 cold-stricken poor people on its office premises at Betpotti area in the city. Acting President of Awami League (AL) Mamtaz Uddin Ahmed attended the ceremony as the chief guest with President Mehedee Hasan Siddique Rony in the chair.

General Secretary of district AL Advocate Rezaul Karim Raju as special guest attended the occasion moderated by General Secretary of district unit BCL Rakibul Hassan Kanon.

Vice-president of district AL Joynal Abedin, its Joint General Secretary Shahinur Rahman Sohel, Organising Secretary Motahar Hossain Mandal Mowla and Treasurer Abul Kashem, were present as invited guests.

Vice-presidents of district BCL Shamim Sarder, Shariful Islam Sharif, Rokunuzzaman Sagar and Mottalib Hossain, Joint Secretaries Masud Ahmed, Mostafa Parvez Zion and Hasib Mahmud, Organising Secretaries Adnan Hossain, Abu Hossain and Belal Hossain Apel, among others, spoke.
