30,500 hectares brought under Boro cultivation in Panchagarh

PANCHAGARH: Depart-ment of Agriculture Extension (DAE) office sources said a total of 30,500 hecteras of land brought under Boro cultivation in all five upazilas of the district during the current Boro season with a production target of 3,00,000 tonnes of rice, reports BSS.

Now, the farmers are so much busy to prepare their respective land for planting seedling as per direction of the field level sub assistant agriculture officials of DAE to get desired production.

Deputy Director of (DAE) Md Samchul Huque told BSS the department has supplied high quality seeds, fertilizers and other agriculture inputs free of cost among the farmers to achieve the production target.

Apart from this, DAE also provided training programmes to the farmers of the district for adopting modern technologies of Boro cultivation also said.
