Safa acts as Kobori’s daughter in Victory Day tele-drama

National Film Award winning and popular actress of bangla cinema Kobori Sarwar and young talented actress Safa Kabir will be seen together in a special tele-drama for the first time on the occasion of Victory Day.
Recently they have acted together in a tele-drama titled ‘Dateline 2017’ written and directed by Sazzad Hossain Dodul.
The shooting of the tele-drama was completed on Tuesday. Safa has enacted the role of Kobori’s daughter in the tele-drama.
To act with a veteran actress like Kobori Sarwar, one needs to know about her and her style of acting. So, therefore, before the shooting of the tele-drama, Safa started to learn about Kobori and watched her films ‘Rangbaaz’, ‘Devdas’, ‘Dui Jibon’, ‘Amader Sontan’ and ‘Titas Ekti Nodir Naam’.
Safa felt nervous about acting with the veteran actress.
Commenting about the acting in the drama Safa said, “Kobori madam is a very high-profile actress, and acting alongside her is one of the biggest achievements of my acting career. During the shooting, she was really helpful and we rehearsed everything before the take.”
The tele-drama will be aired on Banglavision on December 16.
Kobori Sarwar is a Bangladeshi film actress. She received the National award for her performance in the movie Sareng Bou. She is a member of parliament and was elected to her post in December 2008 from the Awami League.
Sarwar stepped into the field of cinema as an amateur artiste at the age of 13. In 1964 Kabori acted in her first film, Sutorang, under Subhash Dutta’s direction, and coincidentally after 40 years, in 2004, Subhash Dutta acted in the movie Aaina under Kabori’s direction.
Sarwar acted in several movies with Farooque in 1970s.
She also performed with Bulbul Ahmed in Devdas. She acted another important role in Titash Ekti Nadir Naam directed by Ritwik Ghatak, an Indian filmmaker. She also acted in a Urdu film Bahana by Zahir Raihan with co-actor Rahman.
Sarwar also worked with actors like Razzak, Alamgir, Sohel Rana, Ujjal, Wasim, Khan Ataur Rahman, Golam Mustafa, Anwar Hossain and A.T.M. Shamsuzzaman.
In 2006, Sarwar directed the film Anya.
