Seminar on diaspora identity formulation at IU

A PhD seminar titled ‘Conceptualization of Diaspora Identity Formulation: A Theoretical Perspective’ was held at Islamic University (IU), Kushtia on Wednesday.

 

The English Department of the university organised the seminar at the conference room of the university’s Arts Faculty.

 

Prof Dr M Habibur Rahman, dean of Humanities and Social Science Faculty of IU, attended the seminar as the chief guest while Prof Dr M Mizanur Rahman spoke as the chief discussant and Prof Dr AHM Aktarul Islam Zillu, chairman of the department, was in the chair.

 

Hussain Ahmed Liton, PhD fellow at the department, presented two articles supervised by the department Prof Dr M Maher Ali, also the director of the university’s IIER.

 

Prodip Kumar Adhikari, assistant professor of the department, conducted the seminar where Prof Dr Shahadath Hossain Azad of the department, Prof Dr Jahangir Hossain, of Islamic History and Culture Department, M Altaf Hossain of Al-Fiqh Department, among others, took part in the seminar.
