Pritilata Waddedar, the female revolutionary nationalist, was remembered on her 106th birth anniversary yesterday.
Marking the occasion in a befitting manner, Bhorer Kagoj and Pritilata Trust jointly arranged a programme at the VIP Lounge of the National Press Club in the city.
Advocate Sultana Kamal, former adviser to the caretaker government, Nasimun Ara Haque Minu, president of Nari Sangbadik Kendra, language veteran Rawshan Ara Bachchu, and Pangkaj Chakraborty, executive director of Pritilata Trust, spoke on the occasion.
Shyamal Dutta, editor of the daily Bhorer Kagoj presided over the event.
Besides, In memory of the revolutionary, Team Pritilata organised a Priti Adda at the Bishwa Sahitya Kendra in the capital last afternoon.
Eminent novelist Selina Hossain, playwright-actor and educationist Momtaz Uddin Ahmed, author and novelist Panna Kaiser, poet Kazi Rozi, artiste Shyamal Dutta and actress Shampa Reza attended the event, among others.
