The popular magazine programme “Ityadi” will air a special compilation episode today, featuring selected and audience-favourite segments from several previous episodes.
The programme will be broadcast on Bangladesh Television (BTV) after the 8pm Bangla news. As always, Ityadi has been written, directed and presented by Hanif Sanket.
One of the main highlights of the special episode will be the final on-screen performances of two legendary actors, ATM Shamsuzzaman and Masud Ali Khan. The segment was originally filmed for an episode of Ityadi in November 2019 at Tiger Hill in Nilachal, Bandarban.
After a prolonged illness, ATM Shamsuzzaman returned in front of television cameras through a dramatic segment of that episode, where he performed alongside Masud Ali Khan. Both actors later passed away, making it their final acting appearance. The segment is expected to be an emotional moment for viewers.
The episode will also feature informative reports on Bandarban’s history, heritage and tourist attractions, as well as stories highlighting social initiatives and the role of education in changing lives.
A special report promoting environmental awareness at sea beaches will also be included.
The musical segment will feature a song performed by popular Bangladeshi singer Akhi Alamgir and Marma singer Man Man Sing. Written by Mohammad Rafiquzzaman, the song was composed by Hanif Sanket and arranged by Mehdi.
More than 100 performers from Bandarban’s 11 ethnic communities, along with Bengali artistes, will take part in another musical presentation celebrating the district’s natural beauty and cultural diversity. The programme will also include satirical sketches, the popular Nani-Nati and Mama-Bhagne segments, audience participation and the letters section.
