Kajol Chokher Meye hits 20m views in just 12 days

The romantic drama “Kajol Chokher Meye”, starring Farhan Ahmed Jovan and Tanjim Saiara Totini, has crossed an impressive 20 million views within just 12 days of its release, marking another major success for Capital Drama.
Talented maker Jakaria Showkhin has directed the project. 
Sponsored by Monalisa Sanitary Napkin and produced by Anwarul Alam Sajal, the drama premiered on the Capital Drama YouTube channel on 17 July. Since its release, it has received widespread appreciation from viewers for its heartwarming portrayal of love, family values and Bengali culture.
The story centres on a close-knit middle-class family, with romance woven into its emotional narrative. Totini plays the titular role of Kajol, while Jovan stars as Shuvro. Blending romance with family relationships, the drama highlights the warmth, affection and emotional bonds that define everyday Bengali life.

Reflecting on the drama’s remarkable success, writer-director Jakaria Showkhin said, “We wanted to create a drama that captured the essence of a Bengali middle-class family, with its culture, emotions and relationships. Producer Anwarul Alam Sajal, who also serves as Head of Operations at Radio Capital, noted that Capital Multimedia recently surpassed one billion cumulative views across its digital platforms. Of these, nearly 700 million views came from Capital Drama’s YouTube and Facebook channels. He added that “Kajol Chokher Meye” became the fastest production on the platform to reach the 20 million-view milestone, describing it as a record-breaking achievement.
The drama also features performances by Anand Khaled, Mili Bashar and several other artistes.
