Well, first of all, I want to extend my heartfelt greetings on Women’s Day. Over time, we have listened to many journeys, success stories, and experiences of our female athletes. Today, the way women are excelling in sports from SAFF championships to Asian Games and Asian Cups is remarkable. Their achievements have grown steadily, and this progress is visible across all levels of competition.
Gradually, this success is also attracting brand attention and sponsorship opportunities. Day by day, more companies are becoming involved, recognizing the potential of women’s sports. For example, in recent times, we have seen support from sponsors like Last Dhaka Bank and Coca-Cola. Beyond traditional sports brands, even sectors such as feminine hygiene and consumer goods are beginning to engage.
This growing participation from brands not only provides financial support but also creates a professional and sustainable environment for our athletes. It ensures that women athletes can continue their journey without obstacles, represent Bangladesh confidently, and remain unstoppable in their pursuits.
I strongly believe that as this ecosystem develops, we will see further growth in sponsorship, recognition, and opportunities for women in sports. Our athletes’ dedication and achievements deserve continuous support, and it is crucial that we nurture these opportunities to help them shine internationally.
With sustained effort and growing support from brands, the future of women’s sports in Bangladesh looks brighter than ever.
