Presidency University welcomes new students with ‘Freshers Reception 2025’

The Business Department of Presidency University welcomed its newly admitted students with a festive ‘Freshers’ Reception 2025,’ organised by the university’s Business Club, BizBox.
The event, held Wednesday (13 August) at the Elite Convention Center, featured vibrant cultural performances and a series of motivational sessions.
The programme began at 11am. with an opening dance, followed by a floral welcome for the freshers.
A large number of students, faculty members, and guests attended the ceremony, creating an atmosphere of warmth and celebration.
University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Md Abdul Mannan Chowdhury, Principal Advisor Professor Dr Md Anwarul Kabir, Registrar Md Sakir Hossain, Dean of the School of Business Professor Abul Kalam, Business Department Chairman Professor Dr Md. Julfikar Ali, Deputy Director and Head of Admissions and Public Relations Jahid Hasan, and Business Club Advisor and Assistant Professor Nazia Akter Rashmi were among the distinguished guests.
Speeches by senior faculty members encouraged students to embrace their academic journey with confidence.
A career guidance session by Major (Retd) AKM Habibul Haque, head of corporate affairs at Nestlé Bangladesh PLC, was a key highlight, offering practical advice for the newcomers.
The event also included a lively cultural segment featuring dance, music, and a live concert by alumnus Rajon, which drew enthusiastic applause from the audience.
The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks, marking the end of a memorable day for the newest members of the Presidency University community.
