The news of the national election in Bangladesh has spread widely, both domestically and internationally, prompting entrepreneurs at home and abroad to prepare for investment in the country.

Amir Khashru Mahmud Chowdhury, standing committee member of BNP, made the comment while addressing a programme held at a hotel in Banani area of Dhaka on Wednesday.

The session, titled “Bangladesh’s Economic Context: Growth and Potential,” at the 'Foreign Investors Summit 2025' was organised by BRAC EPL Stock Brokerage Limited.

He said that the presence of a large Japanese delegation at the summit is evidence of the growing interest in investing in Bangladesh following the announcement of the forthcoming national election.

He said a strong capital market is essential for long-term financing, as relying on loans or printing money is not a sustainable way to run an economy.

He also emphasised the importance of product branding, offering technical and financial support, and ensuring investors have direct access to the global market.
