Bangladesh national football team head coach Javier Cabrera returned to Dhaka on Monday morning, ending a 36-day trip to Spain that began on 4 July.
While officially in charge of the senior side, Cabrera is also overseeing the under-23 squad, though he has not been formally appointed as their head coach.
The national team will kick off their training camp on Wednesday in preparation for next month’s FIFA window fixtures against Nepal.
Meanwhile, the under-23s are in the midst of their preparations for the AFC U-23 Asian Cup Qualifiers. England-based midfielder Tanil Salik joined the squad on Monday afternoon after arriving in Dhaka to link up with his teammates.
Bangladesh will face Singapore, Yemen and the hosts Vietnam in the AFC Under-23 Asian Cup Qualifiers, scheduled from 3 to 9 September.
