BRAC Bank launched its first ever "Digital First" branch on North Gulshan Avenue in the capital on Thursday, with a view to "reimagining a customer-centric model that blends personalised service with advanced technology."

The branch is equipped with several well-crafted digital solutions to make banking faster and efficient, it said in a press release.

The outlet's key features include the "DIGI Box", a 24/7 digital delivery system for secure collection of cheques and cards, and a digital file-sharing service for seamless transfers. To enhance customer experience, the branch utilizes a matrix of QR codes that empower customers with ability to make complaints and give suggestions. A "Queue Management Solution" has been put in place to minimise wait times.

A dedicated Digital Corner, guided by a digital ambassador, is available to help visitors understand and use the bank’s existing digital platforms. The staff will proactively support customers in navigating services like the Astha App, enabling them to confidently manage their banking from anywhere, at any time.

The branch also features an exclusive Premium Lounge coupled with a Locker facility, catering specifically to the needs of high-value clients.

"The opening of the branch in Gulshan, a prestigious and commercially vital location, signifies BRAC Bank's commitment to reaching a diverse customer base with best-in-class banking services," said the press release issued in this regard.

BRAC Bank Chairperson Meheriar M Hasan formally inaugurated the branch. Executive Director Asif Saleh, Managing Director and CEO Tareq Refat Ullah Khan, and Deputy Managing Director Sheikh Mohammad Ashfaque were also present, among others.

Meheriar M Hasan said, “We are expanding our Branch Network across the country as part of our strategic move to reach out to customers with convenient banking solutions. Having a wider physical branch network alongside the digital banking capabilities, we want to ensure superior services to our valued customers.”

The bank’s network includes 285 branches and sub-branches, 330 ATMs, 446 SME Unit Offices, and 1,121 Agent Banking Outlets, making it one of the largest in Bangladesh, as per the press release.
