As tension escalates in the region over the India-Pakistan war, BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman has strongly condemned the ongoing military attacks and expressed his heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims.
In a message, the BNP leader, now staying in London, said, “We urge all stakeholders to show restraint and take steps for a peaceful solution to the conflict.”
A stable and peaceful region, built upon mutual interests and shared aspirations, serves the best interests of all, said the BNP leader.
Last week, militants killed 26 civilians, mostly tourists, in Kashmir, the disputed region between India and Pakistan.
The incident prompted India and Pakistan to lock into war, which could be far worse, according to experts.
