Mustafizur Rahman was initially set to be part of the Bangladesh A squad for the upcoming series against New Zealand A, but selectors have made a late change, replacing the left-arm pacer with right-arm fast bowler Khaled Ahmed.

Mustafizur was originally included due to his limited match time in this year’s Bashundhara Dhaka Premier League (BDPL). However, after assessing his performance during the Super League phase, the selectors decided to give him a break from the A team to manage his workload.

Mustafizur bowled a total of 28 overs across five matches in the BDPL, picking up five wickets. With some match practice under his belt and Bangladesh’s upcoming T20I assignments against the UAE and Pakistan, the decision was made to rest him from the A team.
