Hefazat-e-Islam announces mass rally in Dhaka on 3 May

Hefazat-e-Islam has announced a grand rally at Suhrawardy Uddyan in the capital on 3 May.
An emergency meeting of executive council of Hefazat -e- Islam was held at the auditorium of the Institution of Diploma Engineers Bangladesh (IDB) in the capital on Sunday afternoon.
General Secretary of this organisation Mawlana Sajedur Rahman announced the mass rally at the end of press conference after the meeting.
They said that the program is being organised on the current situation in the country and focusing on the various issues of Muslim Ummah.
The meeting was presided over by Hefazat- e- Islam’s Ameer Shah Mohidullah Babunagari.
At that time, Maulana Mamunul Haque, Secretary General of Bangladesh Khilafat Majlis and Joint Secretary General of Hefazat-e-Islam Bangladesh, made several demand.
Hefazat -e- Islam also demanded withdrawal of the false cases filed against Hefazat during the fascist regime and said justice must be served for the mass killing at Shapla Chattar in 2013. The religious provisions of the women reform commission, the Islamic inheritance law, and the proposals regarding family discrimination must be abolished.
In addition, the organisation announced that it will hold a week-long mass rally from next Tuesday to protest the Indian Waqf Act and the genocide in Palestine, and protests will be held in every district and sub-district after Jumah on 25 April.
