Police hand over 251 stolen, lost mobiles to owners

The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) have handed over a total of 251 stolen or lost mobile phone sets to their owners over the past month.

DMP’s Tejgaon Crime Division handed over the sets to the owners at its office in the capital on Thursday.

During the handover ceremony, Deputy Commissioner (DC) of the crime division Ibne Mizan told reporters that upon the filing of relevant general diaries (GD), the Sher-e-Bangla Nagar Police Station recovered 63 mobiles. Police stations at Hatirjheel recovered another 54 sets, at Mohammadpur 40 sets, at Tejgaon Industrial Area 32 sets, at Adabor 32 units and at Tejgaon 30 units.

Addressing reporters, the owners expressed their delight for getting back their phones.
