A woman was stabbed to death allegedly by her brother-in-law in Dhaka’s Motijheel area on Sunday.

The deceased was identified as Ayesha Khanom Moni, 45.

Mezbah Uddin, officer-in-charge of Motijheel Police Station, said Masud Hawladar, brother-in-law of Ayesha, stabbed Ayesha indiscriminately when she went out of her home around 10:30 am, leaving her critically injured.

Later, she was taken to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital where the doctors declared her dead around 12:30pm.

Police are trying to arrest Masud, said OC.
