Ambassador of Bangladesh to Mexico Mushfiqul Fazal Ansarey has welcomed the meeting between Professor Muhammad Yunus and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, terming it as a significant moment.

“I welcome the meeting between Professor Muhammad Yunus and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi as a significant moment,” he said in a post published on his verified facebook page on Friday.

He said “Bangladesh is reclaiming its rightful place on the global stage with a sovereign and courageous foreign policy—one that is direct, focused, balanced, and nuanced.”

He further said “It is encouraging to see our big neighbour, India, recognising Bangladesh with a fresh approach and deeper understanding. I hope the Indian government is realising the will of the Bangladeshi people.”

“This is the kind of diplomacy we must uphold—one that strengthens regional ties and positions Bangladesh as an assertive and respected player in global affairs. The future is ours to shape,” the ambassador added.
