The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) will arrange a musical concert named "Shobar Agey Bangladesh (Bangladesh before everything else)" on 11 April.

BNP's Joint Secretary General Shahid Uddin Chowdhury Annie, also the president of the organising committee, revealed the date at a press conference on Thursday. The event will likely celebrate Independence Day 2025.

Earlier, on 16 December last year, the party organised a concert under the same name at Manik Mia Avenue in the capital.

The concert celebrated the victory over dictator Sheikh Hasina on 5 August 2024. Artistes sent a message of unity and inclusivity for rebuilding the country in the post-Hasina era. 

On 10 December, BNP launched the "Shobar Agey Bangladesh" platform to promote local culture and traditions over foreign culture to preserve the country's sovereignty.
