A seminar titled "Collaborate to Innovate: Bridging Academia with Industry – Seminar on the Development of Management Skills" was held at Syndicate Hall, North South University (NSU) Dhaka, 17 March 2025, bringing together distinguished academics and industry professionals to enhance students’ management competencies and career preparedness.

Distinguished Speakers at the event included Prof Mohammad Khasro Miah, a faculty member in the Department of Management, School of Business & Economics at North South University, and the Founder President of the Human Resources Professionals Society of Bangladesh (HRPSB). Also present was Shahariar Rahman, Senior Manager and Head of HR at Ulkasemi Pvt. Limited, an NSU alumnus, and a Fellow Member of HRPSB.

The seminar provided an interactive platform for students from the School of Business & Economics, focusing on essential management skills and innovative strategies for professional success. The seminar emphasized strategic self-assessment and the development of key management competencies for corporate success.

Addressing the event, speakers encouraged students to embrace adaptability, continuous learning, and proactive networking to stay competitive in the dynamic job market.

The seminar was jointly organized by the School of Business & Economics, North South University, and the Human Resources Professionals Society of Bangladesh (HRPSB).

The organizing committee included Hamida Mosharraf Moniea, Senior Lecturer, NSU & General Secretary, HRPSB; Kaniz Fatima Nourin Choudhury, Joint Secretary, HRPSB, who also moderated the session; and HRPSB Campus Ambassadors Md Rashedul Alam, Ariana Khondoker, and ATM Shahriar Hakim.

By fostering stronger industry-academia collaboration, the event reinforced NSU’s commitment to equipping students with practical skills and knowledge for future leadership roles in the corporate world.
