Injured Quazem out of 24-member squad

Midfielder Syed Shah Quazem Kirmanee, who got an injury in his groin during the last training session of the Bangladesh national football team, has been sidelined.

The men in red and green completed their last training session at the match venue. It was learnt that Quazem got an injury during that session.

Bangladesh earlier flew to Shillong on 20 March with a 24-member squad to play their first-leg match of the AFC Asian Cup 2027 qualifiers’ final round against India, scheduled to be held on Tuesday at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium.

According to FIFA's rule, the teams have to announce their final 23-member squad 24 hours before the match day. After Quazem's injury Bangladesh made their final 23-member squad with the rest of footballers.

Final 23-member Bangladesh team:

Goalkeepers: Mitul Marma, Sujon Hossain, Mehdi Hasan Srabon

Defenders: Shakil Ahad Topu, Rahmat Mia, Tariq Raihan Kazi, Topu Barman, Saad Uddin, Sakil Hossain, Isa Faysal

Midfielders: Hamza Dewan Choudhury, Chandon Roy, Md Ridoy, Sohel Rana, Md Sohel Rana, Mojibor Rahman Jony, Shekh Morsalin, Jamal Bhuyan
