2 children among 5 rape victims admitted to DMCH

Five rape victims, including two children, were admitted to the One Stop Crisis Centre (OCC) of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) on Thursday.
Two children and a teenager from different areas of Mugda were brought to the hospital, with Sub-Inspector (SI) Al-Amin of Mugda Police Station sending the two children.
A complaint was lodged with the police station that claimed a 12-year-old child was raped in the area on Wednesday evening and later she was admitted to the OCC of the DMCH for medical tests, he said.
Meanwhile, police claimed to have arrested one Jabbar, 40, a neighbour of the victim in connection with the complaint, the police official said.
Besides, police also arrested one Pintu Das in connection with a rape case lodged with the same police station alleging that another child was raped on 18 March.
Besides, another girl was raped in the same area on 18 March and police have arrested Pintu Das in connection with the case filed with the station.
In another incident, SI of the police station Tawhidul Islam brought a 15-year-old to the OCC. The SI said that a complaint was filed that she was raped by her neighbour Siam, 18. Police have already arrested Siam, he added.
In another incident, Sub-Inspector Tawhidul Islam of the police station brought a 15-year-old girl to the OCC, who was allegedly raped by one Siam, a neighbour of the victim. Police arrested Siam in this connection, he added.
Sub-Inspector Ilias Mahmud of Khilgaon Police Station said that Alif Siam, 20, allegedly raped her after luring her with the promise of marriage on 23 February 23.
On Wednesday, a case was filed with the police station in this connection.
Furthermore, a 22-year-old rape victim was admitted to the hospital after allegedly being raped by miscreants in Hatirjheel area of Dhaka.
