The joint forces arrested 569 people in the ongoing “Operation Devil Hunt” from across the country in the last 24 hours until Saturday noon.

A total of 1,231 people were apprehended during the operation. Of them, 662 were wanted in different criminal cases, according to the Police Headquarters.

Two locally made guns, 10 bullets, 62g of gunpowder, and sharp weapons were seized during the drives.

The government launched the nationwide security operation on 8 February night, aiming to curb unrest and ensure public safety.
