The Anti-Discrimination Student Movement (ADSM) and the Jatiya Nagorik Committee will jointly launch a new political party on 28 February, Sarjis Alam has said.

He came up with the announcement at a press briefing held at the ADSM office in Dhaka's Bangla Motor on Monday evening.

The party will be launched at a programme to be held on Manik Mia Avenue at 3pm.

Sarjis, chief organiser of the Jatiya Nagorik Committee, said they are committed to building the country in the way the next generation dreams of and they will continue to fight for the purpose.

“Keeping this in mind, ADSM and Nagorik Committee are going to float a new political party together,” he added.

Meanwhile, the issue of the formation of a new party by July-August activists has led to a widespread discussion in the country.
