Essa Youssef Essa Al Duhailan, the Saudi Ambassador in Dhaka, on Friday issued a video statement greeting Bangladesh on the occasion of the Language Martyrs Day and the International Mother Language Day.

This was also the first Bangla statement delivered by a Saudi ambassador to Bangladesh.

The Saudi envoy said, “I am expressing my heartfelt greetings to the people of Bangladesh on the occasion of the International Mother Language Day. I respect the rick cultural heritage of Bangladesh, and wish for the prosperity and stability of the country. May this day (21 February) remain as an inspiration for protecting mother languages throughout the world.”
