Jamaat ameer, Pakistan envoy expect Dhaka-Islamabad ties to strengthen

Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Shafiqur Rahman and Pakistan’s High Commissioner to Bangladesh Syed Ahmed Maroof held talks on mutual interests concerning the ties between Dhaka and Islamabad.
The talks took place as the Pakistani High Commissioner paid a courtesy call on the Jamaat Ameer at the latter’s party office in Moghbazar, Dhaka, on Tuesday.
The meeting was conducted in a very cordial atmosphere, according to a Jamaat press release.
Both parties expressed hope that bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries would continue to strengthen in the future, the release added.
Present at the meeting were Pakistan High Commission’s Deputy High Commissioner Muhammad Wasif, Political Counsellor Kamran Dhangal, and Jamaat nayeb-e-ameers Mujibur Rahman, Syed Abdullah Md Taher, and ANM Shamsul Islam, as well as Secretary General Mia Golam Parwar, assistant secretaries General ATM Masum, Abdul Halim, Moazzam Hossain Helal, and Central Executive Council member Mubarak Hossain.
