A total of 13 policemen of Companiganj Police Station in Sylhet were suspended on Tuesday for their alleged link to extortion.

Of them, two are sub-inspectors, two are assistant sub-inspectors and nine are constables and the authority has attached them to Sylhet Police Line, Mohammad Mahbubur Rahman, superintendent of police in Sylhet, said.  

News course of action programme will be taken against them based on the investigation report in this connection, he said.
