Maruf Hassan of Chattogram and Ojaifa Khatun of Rajshahi clinched gold in the men’s and women’s 100m events, respectively, at the final phase of the Youth Festival Inter-Division Athletics Competition 2025, organized by Bangladesh Athletics Federation (BAF), at the Bangabandhu National Stadium (BNS) on Friday.

Maruf took 11.47 sec and Ojaifa 13.49 sec to finish races in their respective categories.

A total of 240 athletes from eight districts competed in 18 events – 10 for male and 8 for female – in the day-long meet.

Khulna became champions as they clinched 5 gold, 3 silver, 7 bronze and Chattogram became second with 5 gold, 3 silver, 4 bronze.

Meanwhile,  the BAF ad hoc committee announced that they would arrange long term training under local and foreign coaches for the selected athletes of this event.
