Biman’s Rome flight lands safely at Dhaka airport after bomb threat
Law enforcement agencies secured the aircraft and safely evacuated all passengers

A Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight from Rome to Dhaka, which received a bomb threat mid-flight, has landed safely at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA).
The aircraft, flight BG-356, touched down at 9:20 am Authorities confirmed that all 250 passengers and 13 crew members were evacuated safely.
“We received a bomb threat from an unknown number regarding Biman's Rome to Dhaka flight,” said Group Captain Kamrul Islam, executive director of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, without providing further details.
The threat prompted heightened security measures at the airport. Law enforcement agencies have secured the aircraft per security protocols.
Toslima Akter, Officer-in-Charge of the Dhaka International Airport Police Station, said, “We could not find any bomb till now.” Who issued the threat is yet to be identified, she added.
A bomb disposal unit is conducting a thorough search of the aircraft to ensure safety, officials confirmed.
