Nearly 2,000 case files go missing from Ctg court premises
The files were kept on a verandah in front of the public prosecutor's office due to space shortage

About 2,000 case files have gone missing from the public prosecutor’s office at Chattogram Metropolitan Sessions Judge Court.
On Sunday night, the court’s Public Prosecutor Mafizul Haque Bhuiyan filed a general diary (GD) with the Kotwali Police Station of Chattogram city in connection with the 1,911 missing documents, the police station’s Officer-in-Charge Md Abdul Karim has told the Daily Sun.
Public Prosecutor Mafizul Haque told reporters the documents were kept on a verandah in front of the government lawyer’s office due to shortage of space in the office.
The documents, wrapped in polythene, were kept near the entrance of the Metropolitan Sessions Judge’s courtroom.
