The government has reduced the prices of diesel and kerosene by Tk1 to Tk104 per litre with effect from 1 January.

A gazette notification was issued by the Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources in this regard on Tuesday.

However, the prices of octane and petrol – Tk125 and Tk121 respectively – have remained unchanged.

The new prices have been set under the automated pricing formula in light of the adjustment of prices in the global market, read the notification.
