bKash has organised a two-day long annual seminar to boost the skills of all employees engaged in Anti-Money Laundering and Combating the Financing of Terrorism (AML&CFT) compliance functions.
The seminar brought together employees from the AML&CFT department, including those stationed in various regions, to address current compliance challenges, explore new products and services, and discuss the latest developments implemented this year, read a press release.
This event also outlined organisational and compliance priorities for the upcoming year, reaffirming bKash’s dedication to upholding regulations and compliance in all its activities for the benefit of its customers and stakeholders.
bKash Chief Executive Officer Kamal Quadir, Chief External and Corporate Affairs Officer (CECAO) and Chief Anti-Money Laundering and Compliance Officer (CAMLCO) Maj Gen (retd) Sheikh Md Monirul Islam and other high officials were present at the seminar held in Dhaka on 11 and 12 December.
Various aspects of the AML&CFT compliance programme were analysed and discussed during the event, keeping the compliance officers updated with recent developments in systems and solutions, read the release.
As a reporting organisation, bKash has developed dedicated compliance teams deployed in various regions of the country – in line with the recommendations of regulatory organisation.
bKash is also playing a pioneering role among the Bangladeshi MFS providers in deploying customised compliance tools like AML360 Financial Crime Investigation Solution, Screening Intelligence System (SIS).
