Jewellers have raised the price of top-rated gold by Tk1,878 per bhori to over Tk1.40 lakh effective from Thursday.

The Bangladesh Jeweller’s Association (BAJUS) announced the latest price hike for 22-carat gold and other categories of the precious metal in a press statement issued Wednesday. The revised rate of 22-carat gold would be Tk1,40,271 ber bhori.

BAJUS attributed the price hike to a rise in domestic rates.
