Former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has met a terrible consequence for her indulgence in excessiveness, BNP Joint Secretary General Imran Saleh Prince said on Monday.
“Allah does not favour excess. Sheikh Hasina went on an extreme exaggeration to hang on to power and Allah has made her consequences tragic,” he said while addressing a function at Dhobaura upazila of Mymensingh on Monday.
The country has been freed from fascism and thus the people are arranging several social events including religious activities in a congenial atmosphere which was absent during the Awami League rule, he said.
BNP believes in people’s religious faiths, norms and values which help establish discipline in society, he said.
Friends of the defeated fascist and hegemonic forces are hatching a conspiracy to create a communal crisis in Bangladesh in a planned way, he said, calling upon the countrymen to prevent the attempt in a peaceful manner.
