Obaidul Quader’s relative arrested in Ctg

The police have arrested a relative of former road transport and bridges minister Obaidul Quader in Chattogram city.
AKM Siraj Ullah, the brother-in-law of Obaidul’s elder brother Mirza Quader, was apprehended in the Green View Residential Area under Bayezid Bostami police station on Thursday night.
A former chairman of Norottom union parishad under Kabirhat upazila in Noakhali, Siraj Ullah is also the president of the Awami League’s Norottom union unit.
The police said Siraj, a close associate of Obaidul Quader, also the general secretary of the Awami League, is accused in five cases, including murder charges.
Chattogram Metropolitan Police Additional Deputy Commissioner (Public Relations) Kazi Md Tareq Aziz said the law enforcers from Bayezid Bostami police station arrested Siraj and he would be handed over to Kabirhat police station.
