Indian national detained with phensidyl at Cumilla border

The Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) on Tuesday detained an Indian national with 100 bottles of Phensedyl during an anti-drug operation near the Golabari border area of Cumilla’s Sadar Upazila.
The operation, conducted at 7:00 am by a patrol team from Golabari Post under Cumilla Battalion (10 BGB), took place 100 yards inside Bangladesh territory near the Keraninagar area, adjacent to border pillar 2082/1-S, said Lt Colonel Md Iftekhar Hossain, Commander of Cumilla Battalion (10 BGB).
The detainee, identified as Mehedi Hasan, 18, hails from NC Nagar village in Sepahijala district of Tripura, India.
Along with the contraband, one mobile phone was also seized.
The detainee was handed over to Cumilla Kotwali Model Police Station.
