Prime Bank becomes sponsor of Bangladesh U-17 team for Sri Lanka tour

Bangladesh Under-17 cricket team is going on a tour of Sri Lanka under the supervision of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) game development committee. Prime Bank Plc is the title sponsor of the team in this tour.

The jersey for the tour was unveiled at a function held at the conference room of the BCB Academy building on Wednesday.

On behalf of BCB, board directors Nazmul Abedin Fahim along with Fahim Sinha were present during the occasion along with Prime Bank’s Deputy Managing Director (DMD) Md Nazim A Chowdhury and Senior Assistant Vice President and Head of Brand and Communications Syed Raihan Tariq.

After handing over the jerseys to the cricketers, Nazmul Abedin Fahim said, "Prime Bank has been with the Cricket Board for a long time. From all the tournaments organized till date under the sponsorship of Prime Bank, many players are playing in the main national teams or age-based national teams.”

“Prime Bank is constantly contributing to the development of cricket. Only talented players get this scholarship. We also look at the cricketers who got this scholarship. This is the first time that Prime Bank is sponsoring the cricket team. I hope that this support of the Prime Bank will continue in the future,” he added.

Bangladesh U-17 team will play two three-day matches and three one-day matches against Sri Lanka U-17 team during the tour. The team will fly to Sri Lanka tomorrow.

The series will start with the first One-Day on 24 November. The next two matches are on 26 and 28 November respectively.

The first three-day match is on 2 December while the next match will start on 7 December.

All matches will take place at Galle.

Abdul Karim Jewel is the head coach of the team. Tushar Imran is the batting coach and Hasibul Hossain Shanto is the pace bowling coach of the team.
