2nd IHSB Business Carnival to begin on Friday at Uttara

The second IHSB Business Carnival will be held on the premises of International Hope School Bangladesh (IHSB) at Uttara in the capital on Friday and Saturday.

The event is a business ideation competition for school students, drawing in over 600 participants from 50 different institutions across the capital, according to a press release.

British Deputy High Commissioner James Goldman, British High Commission's Director of Trade and Investment Dan Pasha and British government's Department for Business and Trade official Syed Habibur Rahman will be present as the guests on the opening day.

The two-day event would feature three competitions: Friedman’s Fallacy, Pitch Perfect and Marketing Mania, where the total prize pool would be TK1.8 lakh.

At the carnival, Biman Bangladesh Airlines will hand over the “Courtesy Award.”

In Friedman’s Fallacy, students will present solutions for various economic problems. In Pitch Perfect, the young contestants will present a unique business idea. Lastly, Marketing Mania will require partakers to create a captivating commercial that resonates with their fellow competitors and judges.

The event’s goal is to enhance students’ creative and communication skills, kindle entrepreneurial spirit as well as engage them in stimulated situations that will prepare them for real life business applications.
