My home is in Kamar Doya village of Bara Harishpur Union in Natore and my family is poor and I am one of two brothers pursuing education.

My father was a sharecropper. Together with our parents, we were able to manage our family’s needs fairly well.

But suddenly, my father developed a mental health issue, which left him unable to work. The responsibility of running the household fell entirely on my mother.

She managed to sustain us by raising poultry and goats, but supporting our family while covering my father’s medical expenses and funding my and my brother’s education became nearly impossible.

With immense difficulty, I continued my studies and achieved a GPA-5 in the SSC exams. However, as I worried that I would have to stop studying due to the lack of funds for college admission, Bashundhara Shuvosangho stepped in to support me.

Through Bashundhara Group, they arranged my admission and have covered all my educational expenses since. If Bashundhara Group hadn’t provided a monthly allowance, I would have had to quit my studies.

I am deeply grateful to Bashundhara. To me, Shuvosangho is not just an organisation but a large, supportive family.
