Bangladesh pledges to repay $173m in dues to Adani Power

The Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB) has pledged to open a new letter-of-credit (LC) for paying $173 million, over 20% of the $843 million outstanding dues, to Adani Power, for ensuring continuous power supply from the Indian company.
On 30 October, Adani Power sent a letter warning it will be forced to stop power exports if its $843 million dues were not paid within 24 hours. The next day, it halved power exports to around 600 megawatt per day.
