BKSP athlete Tamim Hossain secured gold in the triple jump event jumping 14.77m in the men’s U-19s category on the first day of the Open National School Athletics Championship in Taiwan. 

BKSP’s Hafizur Rahman qualified for the semifinals of the men’s 400m and Sumaiya Akter qualified for the women’s 100m sprints on the same day.

A total of 8 athletes from Bangladesh – 4 boys and 4 girls – are participating in the different events of this competition where four other nations including Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Singapore and hosts Taiwan are taking part.
